Winners

Twenty-six spinal implant technologies won
"Best New Technology for 2009".

Eighty three outstanding inventions representing the inspired work of more than 300 engineers, inventors and surgeons were submitted for consideration in 2009. The winning Implant technologies were selected by an independent panel of surgeons according to each submission's creativity and ability to advance the care of back patients.

Treating back pain is one of the most complex medical problems. New technologies have historically played a significant role in advancing the cause of patient care.
